Filter by gender

Some evolutions depend on gender, so catching the right one saves you candy:

You need	It evolves into
Male Kirlia	Gallade (with a Sinnoh Stone)
Female Snorunt	Froslass (with a Sinnoh Stone)
Female Combee	Vespiquen
Female Salandit	Salazzle
Female Burmy	Wormadam (male Burmy: Mothim)

Collectors also hunt both genders of Pokémon that look different, like Pikachu (females have a heart-shaped tail).

As always, start from an empty slate, like we saw in the filters overview:

On the map

1. Open the sidebar (☰), go to the Pokémon section and open its filter settings.
2. Search for the Pokémon you want, for example Combee.
3. Open that Pokémon’s advanced filter and choose the gender under Gender.
4. Save, and check that the Pokémon is selected.
