Scan on demand

The scanner normally checks each area on its own schedule. Scan on demand sends it to a spot you choose right away: handy when you’re heading somewhere, or want to know what’s around a nest before you go.

Note

Scanning only works inside the areas LlamaP covers, and only for accounts allowed to use it. If you don’t see the scan buttons on the map, your account doesn’t have access.

There are two kinds of scan:

• Scan Location: checks one spot.
• Scan an Area: checks a larger zone around the marker. You choose its size.

How to scan

1. Open the map and log in.
2. Tap the scan button you want, among the round buttons on the map. A marker appears.
3. Drag the marker to the spot you want to scan. For Scan an Area, also choose the Size.
4. Tap Scan Here.

The map shows Sending scan request and then Scan demand confirmed. Whatever the scanner finds shows up on the map shortly after.

Messages you might see

Message	What it means
Available in …s	Cooldown. Wait for the countdown to finish before scanning again.
This location is outside the boundaries of authorized areas	You can only scan inside the areas LlamaP covers. Move the marker.
There has been an error while processing the scan request	The scanner couldn’t take the request. Try again in a few minutes.
